    Default What is Bing?

Bing is a new search engine by Microsoft, replacing Live Search. It went fully online on June 5th and quickly jumped to the number two search engine, surpassing Yahoo, but in many searchers' opinions, falling far behind Google. It has received a lot of "buzz" these last few days as people try its search capabilities. Initial reports from techcrunch.com put Bing at 16.28% of market share, Yahoo at 10.22% and Google by far the leader at 71.47%.

Obviously, the most important attribute of a new search engine is the value of its results. Mashable.com reported on a blind test where searches were done without the usual branding and formatting so the users would not know which search engine they are using. After testing several keywords 44% of users favored Google, 32% preferred Bing, and 24% chose Yahoo.

Only time will tell if Bing has the capability to maintain its initial ranking if people are just trying it right now or if it has the power to one day surpass Google.

Bing is a search engine that Microsoft launched as a replacement for MSN.comn but no matter what the most important is that the results that search engine give.

Bing doesn't get near the traffic but I find some cheap PPC traffic on Bing.

Bing?? Does it work? It takes a month to give a search result. I am tired of it. Yahoo is far better.

And Google beats both of them. Bing seems to be getting better, though. More and more people are switching over, it seems.

    Default Bing, Bing... Bingo!

I have been doing search optimization for quite sometimes and have to tell you that new Bing features are quite impressive. At the moment I wouldn't call it a true rival to Google but it sure beats Yahoo in my humble opinion on all counts.

However, chances are that Yahoo and Bing will merge, the talks in the industry about this were floating for quite sometime now.

Nevertheless, at this moment Google is untouchable as far as competition and their new Caffeine update is very impressive, it allows to index your website fast and assign rankings to pages faster than any other search engine. It used to be that MSN was the fastest to optimize for but now it is clearly Google.

As far as people are switching to Bing, it is an overstatement. People gave it a try after the TV marketing campaign but now Bing traffic has slowed down. Microsoft admitted that. The good news is the fact that PPC (pay per click) option works well for advertisers and many expand their marketing campaigns to Bing, some people say that Bing gives better Bang for the money.

Although it has many usable functions, but it will take quite a long time for Bing to reach the level of Google.
But many users optimize there searches for Google majority of the Internet users still like using Google as the search engine.

The only thing I know is that Bing is trying to compete with Google, but I think it's a complete waste of time as nobody can beat Google.
