I ran a hotel in Portland, ME back in the mid-90's and lived in the small town of Yarmouth. Very beautiful country up there. I remember taking bike rides up to Freeport and visiting LL Bean and the other outlet stores up that way.

And there was lobster everywhere! McDonald's even sold lobster rolls! Best of all - it was cheap. You could go to dinner and get two 1.5 lb lobsters for $9.95.

I'm not much for snow anymore - especially because my hockey playing days are over and I prefer to play golf year round - but if I was still running hotels I would definitely consider moving to coastal Maine again.

I may pay a visit to Maine one day. Once i'm retired and have no other place within the states i want to visit. Seems like it may be kinda boring.
