Default slope easement - tax question

The developer adjacent to property I own has offered me $15K in exchange for a slope easement onto my property. Will I have to pay taxes on this income?

You need to ask this question to a CPA to know for sure. You can ask who ever does your taxes if they know a good CPA. Often times if you contact the refered CPA they will answer your question and not charge you a dime. I would say that you probably will have to pay taxes Uncle Sam always makes sure he can get his cut.
