    Wow...it's amazing what goes on out there in the crazy world of real estate. I am not a lawyer so I can't give an answer from that perspective but just as a person who is selling their property, (and as a person who has purchased property) I would suggest that you follow your "gut" reaction. "When in doubt - DON'T)." I'm not sure what you'll hear from others but I think you're on the right track when you say this doesn't sound ethical.

    Booming markets invariably bring with it unsavory people, who try to make some quick money through dubious methods. This is more or less the state of India
