    Default Agent/ Broker issues

I have worked for my company for 3 years now and when I first started it was the impression they paid for signs and riders and also marketed our listings. Well since a new partner came into the company all of a sudden without any notice they started charging a very high price for all of the above. Never once did they say they were going to charge nor did they raise the commission split to balance this new policy. Never have we signed an agreement to what our actual split would be or what the company should have to pay. I have tried to ask them why and when we starte dto get charged, however the answer i keep getting is thats the way it has always been. It has not always been that way i just don't know what to do. I am very fond of the company i work for, but it seems they are just taking me for a ride, what should i do?

Open your Own Brokerage and show them what "honest and ethical is". Get their Internet traffic, and get your piece of the real estate pie with integrity. I hope since this POST you have moved offices or opened your own. take care and remember Knowledge is Power.... know your rights

Interview brokers and ask what to pay and what's free.

As we all know contracts protect both parties... without a contract you should just walk... or demand a better split and if they dont then leave. Of course most all brokers will make you pay for your signs and riders... and your own marketing. Just look at your split vs others in your area... you may have a good one!
