Default Selling a share of inherited property?

Hi everyone. My mom along with her siblings inherited my grandparents house after their deaths although the house is still in my grandparents names. I was wondering if it was possible for my mom to sell me her share of the house. Would we need permission from her siblings before we could proceed? Would we need to go through probate first? We live in Philadelphia PA.

If one sibling wants to sell then she can. She can offer it to the other siblings and they can buy her share, and if they can't do this or don't want to, they will have to sell. Of course if it's land it can be divided between them and she can sell her part, but this isn't as easy with an actual house.

You will probably have to wait until probate is over before you can do anything.
