NJ Developer/ Extended-Warranty question
Hello everyone!
I live in a Condo-unit in Jersey City. As we are close to 1 year completion I was working on getting Extended warranties on all Appliances including HVAC units. During this process I found out that the duration when we can purchase an Extended warranty on Trane - HVAC units had actually expired as the Developer did not purchase an Extended-warranty or notify us of the expiration. We were told we have 1 year Sponsor warranty from another Service company only. Now the Developer says it is not his responsibility. Would like to get a legal opinion of our Rights in this case if we have any?
Thanks,
Deepa

You waited too long to buy the warranty. How is this the developers fault?
If you have any rights at all it will be the right to sue the developer which would not be cost effective for the cost of a warranty.Your Outer Banks real estate agent. Learn how to buy Outer Banks foreclosures.

NJ Developer/ Extended-Warranty question
Thanks for the response Greg. The issue is that the Developer did not Purchase the Extended warranty and let the duration for purchase lapse and did not notify the Residents. So now the Residents once they are done with Developers warranty of 1 year try to purchase extended warranty we dont have an option of purchasing any warranty. Not sure if this is clear in my note but my issue is if they had purchased the extended warranty and not let is lapse we could get warranty for 199$ vs now when we do not have option for Manufacture warranty at all.
