Default What type of entity should I hold my rental property under?

    Default Llc

That's the most popular method and it's easy and usually inexpensive. Although it is always advisable to consult with an attorney, you can find LLC papers online, at many office supply stores. They are not complicated. The important thing to remember is to transfer the deed to your LLC after you file with the state.
