    Default Home loan

I am trying to get a first time home buyer loan. I did call once before, I was told that VA home loans must be at least $80,000.00. Is this still true? If so why is this? The town that I am looking into is not a high priced town and most of the houses are foreclosure and might appraise for the 80K but are not listed at that price. Is there any thing else I can do to qualify for a VA home loan? Any thoughts or ideas? I am in desperate need of getting a home loan for my family!!!
