Default is this worth to sue?

Is it worth to sue someone who screwed me out of $400 that I will never see again?

A lawyer won't set foot in court for less than $8,000 so unless you can make a case in small claims court it is not worth it.

I'm an attorney, and the best thing for you to do is to file a small claims action. You represent yourself, and it's easy to do.

I dont think you need to take action for so low value. you have to pay for this and wont get in return much.

You can't sue him unless it is in notary public but you can still file a small claims action. It's worth staining the name of the one who took your money.

It's all about the principle. I have people that owe me money and never paid. Currently I have someone that owes me $500 and I will take them to small claims because they have the money to pay, they just don't want to. They will pay one way or another....

    I agree with Jimmykerr.

If it is all about the money then persuing it may not be the best idea as you may not get the money back and could end up spending more money. If it is about the principle then definitely go to a small claims court.

I had a similar experience in which I was conned out of

Obviously, we don't have the whole story, but if what you say is true, then I'm sorry. It never feels good to lose money for unearned reasons.

That said, I think this post has covered it. Your money will not be recovered, at least not enough of it to make it worth your monetary while. However, if you would like to send a message to this person and think this person might try this on someone else, then give it a go.

Either way, good luck and sorry.
