    Hello-

    That Mikey - is a VERY interesting question !!

    There are several ways that this could turn - but it really depends on Texas law and any provisions that were in the promissory note you signed at the closing. I suggest you drag out the closing documents and go over them and see if this issue is addressed. It probably is - then - I'd take them and go see a good dirt attorney.
