Wink Owner Responsibility for a Vacant Home

If I buy an old house for investment and leave it vacant; am I legally responsible for urban issues like Grass and Snow Removal, and repair the broken windows ?

I know that the law should be different in each State, I'm just asking generally

Sure you'll be reaponsible for all these social activities as it's part of your duties. But why should you buy an old house and leave like this withoutany investement?

I want not to lose a good buy; then leave it until when I have sufficient money to repair and sell it.

Now I worry about such responsibilities as I'm in a different state.

Your insurance company will have certain requirements regarding leaving a house vacant.

If you can't rent it out then it is probably not worth buying.

Why buy something that you know you couldn't taken care of?It's a waste of money! Another point is, all our property is our own responsibility. No one would care for it other than its owner.

Congratulations! You are the sole responsible for the maintenance of the house since you are the owner. Maintaining a house is quite a task for you to avoid to much repair when time comes that you want to sell. Buyers would love to get a property that is neat and nice.

You are just wasting your money. My suggestion, buy the house then have it rented so you have the investment at the same time you earn money. Right??

Buying a house in a different state and letting it sit vacant is a bad idea on many levels. Unless it is in shambals, you should be able to have a local management company lease it and take care of it for you.

I would strongly recommended not leaving it vacant. I am now real estate expert but leaving a house vacant which needs wok on it already will only allow it to deteriorate more and could potentially incure even more costs once you come to fix it up and sell it. Things like mould and wood damage may cause servere structural problems which, if left can destroy as house.

It would be a very bad idea to take on a house which you are not able to maintain. Just my opinion.
