Default Lawsuit for not "closing on time"?

i have been frantically trying to get all of the buyers requests done EXACTLY how he would like them done but the inspector keeps saying it isnt sufficient. Honestly, at this point i would rather not sell the house to him but if it gets to closing and i have attempted to remedy every item.....would he have grounds for a lawsuit for "not having the house ready"? any help/insight is greatly appreciated, thanks

So, you're the seller and you're FSBO?

Not having the requested repairs finished is probably not grounds for a law suit but it is grounds for the buyer to back out of the contract.

If you have done the repairs but the buyer's inspector isn't satisfied with how they were done just tell the buyer to take it or leave it. At this point the buyer has a lot invested in the transaction and there is a chance they will just take it. Of course, you might end up having to find a new buyer.

Is the inspector licensed and qualified?
