I have put in a bid on a piece of ground (1.86 acres), I gave the security deposit, the seller and their realtor accepted and signed the bid. The problem is that the land was being advertised as DOUBLE WIDES OK. Now after the bid has been accepted, and the selling realtor actually checked the deed, they found out that double wides are NOT allowed. I had planned on building a full basement, and moving my existing double wide to the new basement/ground.

The selling realtor feels "bad", but doubts that there is anything that can be done. The piece of ground is one of 5 plots. The lot that I was looking at and the one next to it have both been on the market for over two years, and haven't gotten any bites (other than mine). Two of the other lots have homes on them and the fifth lot is just used for recreational purposes.

I have been told by MY realtor that if the seller can get the owners of the other lots to "sign off" on double wides, that maybe they can get the deed changed. But I have my doubts that they will do this. The owner of the lot (seller) doesn't care what gets put on it as long as they get it sold. I've already spent 2 weeks of phone calls about getting prices and quotes for water/septic/contractors/house movers, etc., even got the loan approved from the bank. Any ideas? Thank you!
