Are you still buying leads? If so, what the $(&@$^&@$ are you thinking?

Leads are sold to agents (notice the s, meaning more than one) for hefty fees. Most of the time, the 'lead' only filled out the form to see pictures of a house and they're wondering why you're calling. If leads do start to pan out then they up the price, meaning that your earnings go down when they provide any actual value.

Stop thinking about quantity, start thinking about quality. Be yourself and get leads that want to work specifically with you.

Quality leads are the name of the game for a realtor. If a person contacts you then there is every chance that you are going to make a sale or list a property. If you're the one doing the contacting then its nothing more than a who knows, maybe, possibly, if the moon and stars align.........

This is why websites/blogs are a must for realtors. A web surfer didn't land on your site because they need to buy a car.

There are some good lead services out there. But watch the affiliates. They'll drag you down.

I have yet to hear one agent who has said any lead generation company was any good. Only online, new to the forum poster have endorsed lead generation companies and since there is no way to confirm/deny their indentity or affiliation with the said lead generation company, their endorsement means very little to me or most other agents.

They get an email address because they were promising to send a $2 coupon for the buy of 2 ABC pizzas and they sell that email to thousands of poor real estate agent who paid $49.99/month for that crap...

Find me only ONE lead service that get a buyer's information, a buyer that didn't surf the net for home but leaving his/her information to that lead service Co. only and the lead service send that information to ONLY ONE agent in that area...

Build a good website and dont buy leads. This will get you alot of leads. I have 10 agents i supply leads to. We get 35 to 50 leads a day in the Dallas Texas area

Formatting a proper lead capture page on your site is key if you have the traffic, and no matter what the business you are in, these leads will be more valuable than buying leads from a list that are also sold to many others.

I don't understand why agent would allow a company to charge them for leads on their own listings. It's seem to me to be double dipping. First they charge you to display your listing and then charge you againt for the leads.

As a diclaimer, I will say we do provide leads to agents. But we do not sell them or any of the contact information. THe agent pay for the photography and advertising services. Any leads they get from the site are free.

Building solid leads is something I do on my own, a strong ranked website world wide and creating opportunities that are 100% original, being able to out think the other guy, is very important.
