    Thumbs up Facebook vs Twitter

I've heard people asking which one is better between the two. But I tell them it depends. Personally, I use Facebook for long term lead generation since I'm successful at promoting one of my sites - ReverseThatForeclosure.com

Just want to ask the members here on which one is better for you? And why one is better than the other.

Twitter can be better to me since the recent changes to Marketplace on FB will require more money than the FREE use of Twitter. IMHO, any social media marketing must be done with care, the word social must not be forgotten. Be social and do not attempt to sell, just inform and engage and well...socialize

    Default twitter?

thanks for the post reply markbrian,

first of all, I like your concept of not trying to sell, just become the 'trusted advisor' as my boss always tells me...people hate to be sold, but they love to buy.

I have a question if you wouldn't mind answering....How do I really use Twitter to generate sales without doing what everyone else does?....I recently stopped even going to Twitter, I just socialize in this site and biggerpockets.com....I mean, it seems that all people do on that site is post all day long their links and articles, and it just seems like a bunch of sellers (and that wont mix)...I guess I feel that I'm trying to generate sales from people who are also trying to generate sales...sellers dont mix well with sellers.

Do you know of a course, or place where I can get advice or education about how to get Twitter to help me with my business?...I guess I just dont know enough about it to use it correctly.

One more question...are there any other forums like this one that you go to?...I enjoy the socializing very much...I'm in Cocoa Beach...but my business is not limited to Floridians...I would like to be able to answer questions to help people in as many forums as possible in any state.

thank you very much in advance for any advice or links you can offer....

    Michael

Twitter can be just like the real world. My friends in the real world will come to me with a question or desire to buy/sell real estate. I do not have to tell them everyday that I sell real estate. they know it. Some of your tweets can be real estate related, but try to talk about your life, local events you have attended, your hobbies etc.

One thing about twitter, there are plenty of self proclaimed experts. Just use it like this forum or any other.

I go to many other forums but if you google both real estate forums and find some of the other ones, maybe even focus on the other investor forums also.

I prefer facebook more because it is very interactive. you could post pictures of the property for sale here or URL and others could post queries immediately

For me, I better like facebook than twitter because it has more applications that are useful for marketing my website.

I've been using Facebook long before and prefer it because it is more user-friendly and interactive. You can easily post and share what's going on. Much like in twitter, also good but I still prefer FB.

there is data that proves traffic coming from facebook is the most valuable compared to all other social networking sites, I can post links yet because I am new to the site but will add it shortly.

I think they are the same or they offer the same services. So I think we can't even compare so much these two sites. I don't see any difference between them.
