Great Log Analyzer for Leads
We have all heard the phrase, "There's gold in your web logs". But you can find alot more nuggets than just words and phrases to strengthen and capitalize upon.
For my real estate clients I use WebLog Expert as one of my log analysis tools. Why? Because it has one great feature not found with most analyzers - geo tracking by city, state, and organization.
The log analyzer traces the IP addresses of the visitors to your site and presents the data in your report. CAUTION - you will need to set up a filter to weed out all of the major ISP's (and all SE spiders) that route through a major hub (i.e. AOL through Virginia, MSN through Redmond, etc). You can even cross reference the IP addresses in the "Organizations" report with the "Cities" report to weed out the ISP hubs.
Now, looking at one day, one week, or one month of this data won't tell you much. But looking at this data over time (3 months or more) you can see regions of the US (and the world) that frequent your web site. You can then use this information to do a targeted print media advertisement (newspaper or regional magazine) or direct mail piece (buy a mailing list of names in that region).
You can also compare this data with US Migration Statistics to geo-target your ad campaigns.

Nice thread HHI Golf Guy, I can offer another suggest for one that I believe also is a very good program for information. I personally like webtrends. This program also offers everything you mentioned. In todays competitive real estate markets on the internet, you need more than just position.
In order to keep that position you need to be able to analyze the data you have coming in to maintain those positions plus gather information that may help you target a more specific market or group. The old adage of just build it and they will come, does not hold water anymore. You have to always stay on top of where your prospects are coming from and what information they find important.
The new age of real estate is here and those that dont gather this type of data to improve their websites will soon fall behind in this ever changing real estate market on the internet.

BTW, I have developed an MS Access tool for tracking and analyzing your keywords. In a nutshell, you input your domain(s) and keyword sets (i.e. primary set, secondary set, etc.) for each domain.
Each month you log the keyword search estimates for Wordtracker and Overture (you can get this data for free at Digital Point). Finally, you input your end of month KW statistics for G, Y!, and MSN along with your SE rankings.
With this tool you can look at monthly KW trends and SE conversions, or run the reports over a period of several months. Not only is it a good way to see your KW conversion (based upon WT and Overture traffic estimates) but it's also a good way to look at KW patterns.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I will eithe post it here or provide a link. It will take me a day or so to build in some instructions, and then I can make it available. Oh - it's FREE.
