Langley welcomes you
Welcome to the forum David. Have the policies changed in Mexico to make it easier for foreigners to purchase property there? I have hear horror stories of people being robed of their property rights, but don't know enough of the details to determine the risk factor.

Hi Mijas, i think the market is going up because there are plenty of perfect spots here in Mexico to make investments and places to make your own "escape house", i see you are from Spain, how is the market there? i'm planning to make a trip there with some friends of mine...
Tyler,no, the policies haven't changed at all, everything depends on legal status of property are you buying, if it has a full title like we call "escrituras" there is no problem and the title can have a foreigner as the owner but if the pice of land has only a consession or what we call "ejidal" the foreigner must have someone he knows and he trust to put his name on the consession, here is the risky part because here in mexico as anywhere you can trust everybody and if you make the wrong choice you get fraud...
kind regards to all!!Coldwell Banker, Alegre Realty,Barra de Navidad, Jalisco Mx.Vonage Line: (509) 242 8771Phn: 01152 (315) 355 86 87
