    Default Hello from Ulster County

I have been on the forums for a couple of weeks now but never posted to the introduction category. I already know some of you but looking forward to meeting the rest.

Here is the speal I posted on my blog . . .

I began my web career at a dot com start up in lower Manhattan (World Trade Center to be exact). Starting as a web developer, I worked my way up to upper/middle management by becoming a web product manager of a job board.

If you have a good memory, you can remember that the end of the dot com boom came about just before the Trade Center was hit by the terrorists. Lucky for me, being a middle manager, I was let go 2 months prior to the attack. How did I get involved in real estate you ask? Right after the attack, I used the money from my severance package to start a web company that provided web application work to real estate agents.

Before long I realized I can make more money utilizing my knowledge base in technology than I could selling it. I signed on with a real estate company and worked exclusively for them. Now I am the technology director for the company and looking to propel it into the top position in our market.

Welcome to the forum. I am currently trying to start up a Digg group and from advice from one of my old professors I should begin with 20 or more members. There are currently 13 individuals from this forum interested in taking part. I hope you can see the benefit to SEO that a group like this can provide. If you think that you might be interested in the group add me as a friend and make a post of your interest in the marketing ideas section under the thread called "I would like to start a Digg group." I hope you find this forum useful.

    James

    Default Ulster County Real Estate

@Codythebest: Currently I am working with Prudential Nutshell Realty in Ulster County New York. The website is NutshellRealty.com. We have been in business for about 5 years and are currently number #4 out of 142 companies in our market.

@jamesww: I'M IN! I am all about SEO and would love to get involved in your group. I will add you as a Friend and do my post ASAP. Thanks for the warm welcome.

@jvcus17: Ulster County is in NY about mid-way between New York city and Albany (state capital). The majority of the county is considered a premier destination for second home buyers looking to escape NYC.
