California
Hi Everyone!
I used to be a Real Estate Agent in Utah, and my father is still a Real Estate Agent there.
I recently switched over to the "darkside". I joined my brothers in their business in California - Mortgage Bankers.
Please don't shun me because I moved over, it is a family thing and not an industry thing. I also promise not to be an advertising annoyance.
I hope to be a source for information and help if needed, as well as want to draw from the expertise of others on here.
A little bit about me:
My wife and I live in Plano, Tx (Part of the Dallas area) and we are moving to San Clemente, CA (Southern tip of Orange County) in July. In fact we'll be there tomorrow (june 5 - 9th) for job interviews for the wife. My brothers also live in Texas right now, but are moving back to California shortly after we move. They lived in the Northern California for a few years before moving to Texas. We are all excited to move back as we all grew up near the Ocean.
Our expertise in mortgages center around residential loans and agricultural/rural loans. We also work in commercial and private money, however like I said I don't want to be an advertising annoyance. If anyone has questions I'll talk more about that.
Well I'm off to look through the threads and see where I can add value.
You can see our comany at www renoak com
I look forward to being apart of this online community.

thanks
Thanks guys.
The transition is going good so far. It makes it a lot easier I presume having family to help you. I get intense amounts of training everyday from really experienced brokers.... though stressful, I've learnt quickly.
The industry is getting hard hit, just like real estate (depends on the area though). Residential has slowed down compared to commercial, and agricultural / rural. That is a lesson learnt, always diversify your areas of expertise.
How do you guys diversify your expertise as real estate agents.

Welcome to the forum I hope you enjoy your time here. I am putting together a Digg group and right now we have 14 interested members. Once we reach 20 we will launch giving each other much more traffic than we could alone. If you are interested add me to your friends list and post to the thread called "I would like to start a Digg group." You can find this thread in the marketing ideas category found on the forums main page. Again welcome and I hope that you enjoy your time and take away a great deal of useful information.
