Greetings,
Great forum!
I'm dabbling in real estate investing as a lead up to retirement.
Just did my first 1031 and have a question. I want to turn this property into my primary residence and understand it must not be converted (must be in commercial) for the first year. I did not rent it for the first two months so I could make repairs. Is the one year time line from exchange date or first rental date?
