Why does it say renter under my name, and how do I change that?

good morning Rachel - it is title of membership level and will change automatically when you have made xx number of posts on the forum - I don't know the number of posts required or number of membership levels but would be curious for an explaination ?

Bob is correct, it is just a newbie nickname, and will change after you've reached a certain level of involvement (posts).

Next start to work on your automatic signature line.... Also it will only auto-post after you have reached a set number of responses combined with a set number of words per post.

That is correct. I believe there is also a minimum of a certain number of posts with a certain number of words.
