Thank You TeamRobertson. Did your area slow down as well. Columbus was rocking until about a month or two ago. It has really slowed down since then.

Welcome to the forum App Pro...
Columbus slowing down since a couple of months only? Interesting. Some area were slowing down sooner than that, so I guess you got lucky somehow

Cody "the best"- I'm a real estate appraiser, not a realtor so I understand my line of business is a little different. I have many clients that I draw appraisals from. My company, until Sept., has received over 120 orders for appraisals per month. 90% of them were purchases. About 75% of those purchases were FHA first time buyers. The other 10% were foreclosure appraisals for the bank to determine market value for the homes. I'm not sure where you are from, but Columbus is a pretty solid market. Despite the media stating that is is doomsday. In fact, MSN had an article in June of this year stating that Columbus, Ohio and Cincy are ranked #9 and #10 as the safest cities to purchase and invest in real estate.

Malok
I have been appraising since 1996. I started part time while I was in college and decided to make it a full time career in 1998.

You know Cincy has been pretty steady all together. We had a slower month last month however in the last week and a half business has taken off again. I have 6 deals in the works right now, 2 Pending, and 6 definate listings coming up in the next month. And I am in my first year in the business, so I guess things are good.
On top of that note you said about being a safe city to buy in, if you check out Forbes Magazine, Cincinnati is ranked #6 in the nation in regards to the most stable real estate markets.Re/Max Results Plus
