Hi from sunny Ft Myers FL

Hi all:

My name is Nancy. You can call me Nanc. I am a 69 year old semi retired Great Grandmother who got tired of retirement.

I was raised in a Real Estate family in MI and just recently moved to FL. A few years ago a friend and I decided to start a business as virtual assistants to Realtors across the country. It has been a fun, rewarding, and learning experience. Today's real estate market has been a real roller coaster for both buyers, sellers, and Realtors as all of you know.

My hubby and I came to FL to spend the winter for the first time in 2009. We only spent 3 months that first year but bought a small place in a travel park in south Ft Myers that spring with plans to spend 6 months a year here. We have made so many friends from across the U.S and Canada and we love it. In fact we loved it so much we made the decision in the spring of 2011 to sell our home in MI and move here permanently.

For now we live in our humble little abode here at the park until our up north home sells and that could be a while in today's market. It has been quite an experience. This was a little cheapy old travel trailer permanently set on a lot here with a built on Lanai. It was rough but after working for 2 winters to upgrade and remodel it is turning into a cute little place just big enough for the 2 of us. In fact I wish my kitchen in MI had as nice a work area as I have here. One of my hobbies is cooking, baking and canning as well as raising a garden. We are lucky here because our lot is actually big enough for me to raise fresh veggies. You can take the girl away from the farm but you can't take the farm away from the girl.

Since my business is in the area of Real Estate I love to do research of what is going on in the markets across the nation so thought this might be a good place to get information and also add the latest news from north south east and west so others can keep up with subjects important to us all.

I look forward to making many friends here and hope to learn and add a little value to this forum.
