i got laid off in 2009 at 39 and had cash on the sideline so i picked up 4 single family homes in the central valley, looks to have been the bottom because they have picked up 10-15% on each already. they are all 1997 and up and rent for $950-$1050, im grossing $3950/month, plenty enough for me to not have to go back to work - i guess im retired.
