Hello All....
Hello, I'm Zach, and I need advice.... My wife and are looking to purchase 4,000sq ft. Colonial Style house built in 1877. It is in Michigan, we are looking to buy it as a vacation home... It is flawless and sits on Lake Michigan. The asking price is $533,000... Our agent says we should counter at 520,000 but I'm looking to counter right at $500,000, what would you think??
Also we have about 100 acres in Texas, what do you think they are worth.....I'm thinking $21,000 an acre.....I want to use that money to buy gold and platinum, and start 3 dairy-queens in Florida.... Please help

Use Your Real Estate Agent
If you chose to work with this agent then you need to take their advice. If you’re not willing to listen to them you need to find another agent you trust.

Well this home in Michigan sounds wonderful! I've been to Lake Michigan once, I believe it was near Grand Haven (?)
Depending on the condition of the home, I'm not sure you can drop it down that much. I specialize in vacation homes and usually they're overpriced but you are paying for that beauty that you get to wake up to every morning. If you truly believe you can get it down that much (because I don't know the quality of the home) then you should find a new realtor that you trust and see what they can do.
And again about the land in Texas...is it good land? Without knowing the quality of it, the location, I wouldn't be able to help you out
BUT! Buying gold and platinum seems like a great idea with the direction our currency is heading.
I hope I was able to be of assistance!!

Hi Zach: welcome to the forum! Tamara is right, I think if you find an agent you can trust, it will make everything a lot easier and transparent.
What part of Texas is your land located at?
