true, most marketers online only know the basis of setting up a website. when you put that question in front of them, it will be difficult for them to explain.
truth is, lead generation goes far beyond simple optimization and without the exact know how, you're only getting a web site set up that shows up in a small area of the internet.
with 5 years in selling physical and info. products online I have learned to fine tune strategies of my own, strategies that maximizes the ROI for paid campaigns, free search engine campaigns, social media campaigns, and classified ads. All of these must be combined together to gain solid web presence.

the website must have certain tools in place for lead capture.
social media must be (socially adaptable and not too salesy)
classified ads must be properly placed to increase visibility and decrease the risk of getting the ad removed as spam
search engine work must be intricate enough to prevent your spot from being overtaken. note: most can easily get you ranked for local search results, but whats stopping your competition from using a more skilled marketer, sending you to the bottom of the well?

I was illiterate about lead generation, but i got the idea now. Its really a challenging job and i am feeling interest to be a lead generation professional. I use to do work on Search Engine Optimization. I did the job for few of my clients but no experience in lead generation. By the way if somebody ask me for lead generation professional i will refer to you.
