New Agent....Help!!
Hey Everyone! I'm sure this thread is posted daily. I am a new agent. I am in the process of finding the right broker. I have been taking my time researching and reading some ins and outs. I know sometimes people can tell you what you want to hear, so I'm trying to decide what is factual information. I realize I should look for companies that have a large reputation, however I know those companies are filled with a lot of agents. How is a newby supposed to compete in a company with tons of agents? I know I need to find a broker with a lot of training. I appreciate everyones advise. I am ready to begin my new career asap! Thanks

Good deal.
I suggest to find a broker where lots of training is provided. That more important than split plan to be honest...

Christy, welcome to the forum. I would consider finding a broker who could assign you to a team, where you could benefit from working alongside experienced agents (as opposed to competing with them). Many agents start as a 'buyer's agent' in a team, I would give that a try. Enjoy the forum.

I would also look for the brokerage with the best training program and the most support. A brokerage that offers a mentorship program would be great.

Christy, the first thing you need is Confidence that you are going to suceed and the second thing you need to focus on is Internet Marketing and expose yourself to homebuyers. Real Estate is all about generating leads and getting your pipeline fulle. You must implement online marketing with offline marketing.
Online marketing works for you 24 hours a day, so invest heavily..
Offline marketing invest in people, relationship building and referrals. Referrals are always the best leads, internet exposure is secondly the most visible type of marketing. There is alot of competition online, however people are into social marketing so you must have a message to announce you are there.
Good luck, and let me know if I can help.. Focus on your marketing!

Hello, welcome to the forum. I think you don't need to join in a big real estate company, you can choose the small one but have a good working environment. You can grow your career quickly that way.
