I just came across this site. It seems like a great place to share knowledge of our industry with others, and to learn from each other. I have worked in real estate for 10 years, the last 8 as a broker/owner of a real estate office. I look forward to getting to know all of you, and to helping each other become more educated to the every changing business that is the real estate industry.

Thanks for the welcomes. Fort Wayne's market was down around 10-12% during the first quarter this year compared to last year in terms of sales volume. The positive side is that our home values have slid very little. The median home price here hasn't fallen more than 1-2%. Our market always has lots of REOs available, and there are more than usual. I work with a few house flippers in this area, and I have been able to find them some great deals. My own sales on the year have been comparable, so far, to most years. A higher percentage of 1st time buyers than usual, because of the incentives.
