My name is Matthew Lane. I'll be providing information about the new .TEL names in a thread under Real Estate Marketing. I'll provide some background information and why I think they're particularly important for realtors and can lead to more referrals and repeat business.

My goal is to provide information, answer questions and illustrate how real estate professionals are currently using them to drive traffic and build stronger relationships with customers.

Welcome, Matthew! I hadn't heard about the .tel domain before, so I looked it up and found this video that explains at least one purpose ... very funny! I'm guess this isn't the same scenario that real estate agents will find themselves in though. I'd be interested to hear your explaination of how this is simpler that an email address or a phone number.

Hi Jack - thanks for the warm welcome. I had posted an overview of .TEL under Real Estate Marketing, but it seems to have been removed. I'm trying to contact the moderator to see what the issue was, but no luck yet. Once I find out, I'll re-post but in the meantime, here's a 3 minute video that gives overview specifically aimed at realtors. It's not as funny as the commercial, but it has more info.
