    Default River North Area

I am currently looking for a loft in the River north area. I am specifically looking at the 400 block of West Ontario. Any opinions of this area? I am mostly concerned that it is close to the old Cabrini Green projects. Any input is appreciated.

Do not be afraid of Cabrini Greens. It is a great investment for the short run as Mayor Daley is doing everything possible to keep that area of high real estate value (though ethicalness can be questioned.

    Default Cabrini

That is a great area. The Cabrini Towers will not be there much longer. The 'projects' taught us that putting all lower income is not the way to handle Section 8 housing. The new aproach is to cluster it with many other income levels. This is what is happening in the area you are speaking of. That being said. It is still one of the safest places in the city.
