I am just developed a site using Joomla and now going to get a IDX from any good third party thus I am looking for two information- 1. Best IDX information for Joomla and how I can added this into a joomla site. 2. What is the best third party IDX provider for MRIS data?

Anyone know of a IDX feed with a one time fee. Or are they all on monthly subscription?

Something to think about if you are not a web developer.

IDX allows people to search the MLS on your website. It removes much of the confidential information that is found on the MLS but does allow users to search for the homes they want according to their own criteria. I use idx for my users to search the San Diego MLS.

    Default IDX solutions

some boards provide a free framed in IDX which is great for a low cost site. non-framed in IDXs are the costly one. Iframes and non framed IDXs are another topic.

Having a MLS IDX solution on a real estate website is a very good way to keep clients on your site longer! This is all very good information as I determine when to add an MLS IDX solution to my website. Thank you!

Default You can use IDX ...

You can use the IDX as either as a feed or as an iFrame from the IDX provider. The feed is the better choice because the search engines will see the IDX content as your content vs an iFrame which can't be indexed.
