Looking to hire someone with experience in setting up MLS/IDX solutions.

I believe that just about every MLS/Realtor board requires membership for you to be able to access their listings through IDX.

In IL you have to be a Broker/Agent & belong to the MLS in order to be able to then purchase their IDX or VOW for a website. This is a separate fee on top of my annual MLS dues.
If you are not a broker or agent I can't see any state that will allow you to use data that Agents/Brokers have provided and paid for.Learn all about Cook County Real Estate and check out my Chicago Suburb Real Estate Blog. Two other sites offer Burbank IL Real Estate, and Oak Lawn Illinois.

If you have access to an IDX we can program a custom feed for your site or sites. Since each MLS has its own IDX format all scripts are custom. We have programmed scripts to scale to over 60,000 listings. If interested email your requirements for a quote.

Hey Frogger,
Welcome to the forums! The others are right, you better look into your ability to even access the MLS before spending any more time on it, or money.
My vote is for Frobn if you do move forward!
Hope to see you around here more often!!!

There are ways of getting around that. All you need is a Broker that will work with ya.
We've actually built Spains MLS system, not that Spain has anything to do with the US market but I just thought I'd point that out

MLS and IDX
I'm from California and with a company who is joined with about 5 different MLS's. Policies differ from MLS to MLS, some don't even have IDX. But generally you can't have IDX on your website without being a member of the MLS.
