I tried to go check out Imoria and the page would not load. I would be pretty irritated if my clients tried to use it and it didn't function properly. Has anyone used this Imoria thing before?

    Thanks,

Greg - There is a setting in IDX Broker that allows you to set a limit to the # of views allowed to a person. You may allow them to view one, two, or several property detail pages before there are forced to register. Or turn registration on/off for search forms. This flexibility allows for some 'trial and error' when it comes to forcing registration.

I'm getting anywhere from 30-50 new registrations on idx/day and just integrated new idx that has captured 331 users within the past month. Also have 40+ leads/day coming through customized contact forms geared toward rentals. This is a great market to take advantage of. Where there is a will there is a way. Search around and do some test trials on different software to see what works best for our market. If you need some suggestions, pm me and I'll send details.

My name is Joe and I'm with iHOUSEweb. We produce the IDXPro software being discussed in this thread. It's interesting that there are several misconceptions being thrown around that I'd like to take a moment to clear up. First, IDXPro has over 380 MLS Boards around the country which puts us up in the top 5 in terms of IDX Providers. We work hard to make sure that our product adheres to MLS compliance on each and every board whose feed we have access to which let me tell you is no easy task. It's these relationships we have established with these MLS's that give us the ability to fast track an Agents paperwork and cut through much of the red tape that people face when trying to add IDX to their website.

Now I could throw out statistics and metrics and enough data to fill the whole site up let alone this page, but Greg had the right of it - at the end of the day - IDXPro generates leads and that's what Realtors really care about... is the product doing what it's advertised to be able to do? If that answer is YES, then all of the other stuff is kind of irrelevant. For the record though... after YEARS of research, our product incorporates teaser registration because the data strongly suggests that forced registration leads convert better, up to 14X better in fact. This is why our product has teaser registration where users can perform a handful of searches and then be prompted to register.

If anyone has a question regarding our IDX solution, please feel free to contact us or better yet, join our weekly webinar. We host one each Wednesday at 11:00-11:30 am PST.

An IDX is basically a way for Realtors to provide a search feature on their website without having to hire a programmer to develop a way to communicate with the MLS server.

IDX is good for people with little to no resources/funding. Custom programming is always the preferred method.

Given the fact that most Agents aren't going to invest thousands of dollars into custom programming - IDX is probably the best solution. Your MLS might have a feed with a frameable link that you can use, or you can contact an IDX Vendor.
