z57 - Any Good?
I am looking into z57 services and need to know more about them. Has anyone used or currently use z57? We need a good way to publish our listings directly on our domain. I have also been looking into a Premium wordpress theme like one of the three offered by gorillathemes. It's under 200$ for full licensing and support. That appeals more to me than having to pay a monthly fee.
can anyone offer any advice or shed any light on the topic?

Do some google searches for real estate around the country and see what type of sites show up the most. You can look at the bottom of the home page to see who makes the site. Don't just look at the first page of search results, keep going till you find your answer.

I understand what you are saying. It makes sense. The problem is everyone around here pretty much uses the same ones. I'm looking to break the mold. Really just looking for a good way to get the listings on my domain and have a fluid layout between my listings and the blog.
If I could do it through WordPress I would prefer doing that. I've tried using Great-Real-Estate and the other WordPress Real Estate plugins, wasn't too impressed. I am wondering if the Premium themes are any better.
Has anyone successfully set up all of their listings on WP, not just featured properties?

those sites suck. They aren't built to rank in the search engines and frankly you can get a free site from a simular solution so why pay for there garbage?

They've offer a lot of services for seo that the agent can choose to do or not. I know 3 agents who set up with them who close 6 deals a month just from the website. You obviously don't know what your talking about. Shame since your a moderator. Take a look at digmarketing.org They offer a lot of training materials for agents and brokers as well. The new sites they offer are indeed built for search engines. If you call them they can show you a demo of another agents site and you can see how many leads they get.

How can you even compare a z57 site to a digmarkeing site? z57 doesn't even optimize their websites correctly. Anyone who has an iota of sense can see how terrible those sites are.

Brainerd try checking out www.galtlinedesign.com they offer full custom websites that built on the two leading CMS systems Joomla and Wordpress. Can be customized in any way. If you want to build a unique system than these are your guys, and the beauty is they dont charge an arm and a leg.

Thanks, I will. I like seeing what kind of products are available for MLS/IDX listings. I'm guessing within the next two years the older-ancient MLS asp-type sites will be gone! There is just too many benefits to having complete access and flexibility when using CMS's.
I used wpidx/idx broker for brainerdlistings and am pretty happy with the results. The problem is you get your listings on a subdomain of idx broker.. so it's like the listings are not even on the site. The end user does not know that though but the search engines do. The search engines also see duplicate content too I'm sure since the listings on domain.idxco.com is styled to look just like domain.com. Better than iframes though IMO.Last edited by Brainerd Minnesota; 04-13-2010 at 10:01 AM.
