First, Google and MSN Live are search engines. I'm an SEO.

But your peak into the future will never happen.

If Google tried something like that - even charging a nickel or a penny - they would lose a TON of search traffic. And if they lose search traffic, that means they lose ad revenues, and ad revenues drive the Google machine.

I would bet your assumption is that by charging for search that Google would offset any ad revenue losses. That would not be the case. The loss of market share would be staggering. And once market share dropped, advertisers would begin pulling out, further decreasing revenues.

I bet if you took a poll you would find that 90% or more of web users would NOT pay per search or even pay a yearly fee for the privelege of using a search engine. People would flock to Ask and Yahoo, and 10 more heavily financed startups would jump in to capture market share.

Google's business model is driven on it's free search. It has been so successful that they will not tamper with it.

I have never tabbed myself as an expert. I work very hard at what I do, and I have happy clients.

At this time we are not taking any new clients. We have a full portfolio and a waiting list of people waiting for an opening in our schedule. We don't anticipate any openings for at least 6 months.

I don't discuss specific SEO tactics with anyone unless we have a signed contract and a signed non-disclosure agreement. What I can tell you is that we are strictly "white hat" SEO. All are tactics are based upon providing long term success for our clients, and not rollercoaster SEO (the kind of SEO tactics that are extremely susceptible to search engine filter and algorithm changes).

Our prices start at a minimum $1,500 / month with a 12-month contract. Final price is determined by the scope of the project and the relative SEO strength of the competitors for the keywords you are choosing.

Ah - a smarmy comment from someone who did not know the difference between SEO and a search engine. With that kind of mastery of internet marketing I'm sure you have a well thought out business plan and will be rolling in the dough in no time.

Your initial prediction was ridiculous and your follow up posts just continued to show us your lack of internet knowledge and social abilities.
