Default Many .GOV and .EDU links for FREE

I would like to share what I do to get .gov and .edu links.

First Way of doing this is blogging.
Here's how I find .gov and .edu blogs by using google.
    Google this - site:.gov blog
    and this - site:.edu blog

Google search engine finds any .gov and .edu websites that have a blog. Find them and post away.

    Second Way is Guestbooks
    Edu Guestbooks
Heres a couple links but there is some many others out there.

    PR5
    lsa.colorado.edu/guestbook-add.html

    PR4
    nsa.union.rpi.edu/Guest/nsagb.php

    PR3
    public.iastate.edu/~bethanyt/guestbook.html
    uaf.edu/webauthors/wagb.html

    PR2
    cratel.wichita.edu/guestbook/pblguestbook.php?action=view

Get more placed to leave your link by google search - site:.edu guestbook or for gov links site:.gov guestbook

There is also .mil links out there but you get the picture.

Some people might find this offensive, and spam. Sorry, I just found out about this. Thought I would share and get some feed back.

I heard it helps by the way.

The video of the kids experimenting with the soundblocks was interesting and looked like fun (last link site).

Edit: Bah they deleted my post in the guest book.

Your post will be delete on those forums if it looks like the only reason you are posting is for a backlink. many websites do not want hundreds of backlinks on their sites. so if you do make a post make it logical and helpful to the post.

As long as you leave a valuable comment, I think its an even trade. That said, you may want to think twice before heading straight to a blog from Google:

That harvard blog post brings up a really good point that I was actually going to point out (but I just had to read it first . Just because you find a lot of .edu or .gov blogs doesn't mean you should start posting like crazy with the assumption that you are going to get backlinks. If you are not familiar, there is a little piece of html code called rel="nofollow" and if a blog is using this, then your post will not result in a backlink. Granted, it may still be worth your while to post to provide a link to anyone who is viewing the blog, but if this code is there, then you will not be getting a backlink that counts from an SEO perspective.
