It could affect your standing in Google because your diluting the keyword density of those you were already ranking for. I'd suggest you think it through very carefully. If your ranking well i'd suggest doing a new page vs risking affecting the position of a well ranking page.

The best way to get more traffic for keywords is to write naturally and let the keywords just happen. Most of the visitors to web sites do not find the site as a result of the major keyword terms built into the text. Most will find the site based on low competition phrases in your text. The more quality text the better. Fill your site with tons of useful information, place quality links on sites frequented by google (so it is naturally spidered), contact complimentary sites for complimentary traffic links and concentrate on good internal linking. This will make your site climb to the top and stay there.

I also believe that if you add more keywords then the original keywords density might decrease.

Each page is treated like a seperate entity by search engines.

I think you can optimize for 3 - 5 similar terms for a page, after that it is probably wise to have new pages specifically tailored to those other terms you are targeting.

There are lots of keywords that you can add without affecting your serps. I have my homepage optimized for 17 keywords/phrases and I move between #3 and #1 for most of them.

Some keywords are complimentary to real estate and yet everyone overlooks them. I am optimized for 6 areas and then I compliment them with some obvious kw.

    Try adding:
    sales
    for sale
    buy
    sell
    realty
    houses
    homes
    condos
    your state + abbreviation
    real estate

There are a lot of long tails to be had out there.

The only thing adding more keywords will do on your site is lower the keyword density of your current keywords. This will have an impact on your current keyword's ranking in the search engines, but it really shouldn't be that much.

If you really want to rank for some more keywords, you should do some reciprocal linking with other related sites and use those keywords as your anchor text.

If you add more keywords, add more content...good rule of thumb, that way you can maintain the density of the page while adding more keywords to search for

You should research "Long tail keywords". Also, YOU DO NOT want to saturate your site with Keywords. Your web site should have no more than 20 keywords.

The spider crawlers will flag your site as spam and you will not see it the google rankings.

Also, once you do the proper keyword research for your niche you should write articles and submit them to article directories. This will give you back links to your site. The articles should be no more than 450 words and 3% of them should be keyword specific.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is much more than just the keyword. To increase traffic to your site and be properly indexed by Google takes a combination of tactics.

The best thing you can do is get involved with a good IM (Internet Marketing) forum to ask these types of questions.

    Good luck

The-Ref, I don't believe reciprical linking is a good idea. Google is starting to frown on that.
