    Default Google Maps

Google Maps MLS integration is hot. I am looking for a place in downtown decatur, and the real estate agents sites couldn't get me as specific of a location as Google could. This is going to become some serious stuff. If you want to get in you're going to need a developer who is familiar with Google Base and maps optimization.

Define Spam. I think it would be more automated and irrelevant.

Since I am looking for a place in Decatur AND since none of the real estate agents sites on the first page for Decatur condos in Google didn't have a map feature so it was impossible to find what I wanted and had to turn to Google's real estate search instead... not quite.

yeah the google maps stuff is pretty neat. I had my programmer install a pretty sweet map search http://www.coloradohomehelper.com/search/map

I think its pretty usefull to people that are looking for specific areas or people from out of town that dont know the area.

Yeah, I wanted to find something in a specific one mile area where using a zip code was still just to big if there wasn't a map involved.

I think I will have to take a look at the google maps api to see if this is something that i could do with my current listings..I remember a while back playing with it somewhat as was able to do something similar but was going to be download to my tomtom for navigation and for others to download from my website

RobM, where do you have the site ? You just have to get the longitude and latitude of your listings to get them on a google map - and if you have many listings you can get their coordinates with yahoo geocode ... i like on google maps that you can add photos and description of homes on that bubble you get when you click on them
