I have been tracking my website progress and I rank somewhere in the 200's for my main keyword (alpharetta real estate) for the last couple of weeks. My site is for months old. Would this be considered decent? Last week I saw that I had moved up to about 225, now I'm back around 280. I know different DC's and so forth so I'm not to concerned about that - yet. I can do well for some other terms, but nothing with real estate in the KW's. Is my site still too young? What can I do to keep boosting my rankings?

IMO, your site not too young but not too old either. actually, you're lucky coz in a short span of time, you have already a decent rankings for your site's keyword... what i can suggest is for you to optimize it well and see to it that you have quality inbound links... plus of course, don't forget to advertise your site, product, or services to some advertising site coz it will help you drive traffic on your site

Keep trying to get on the first page, since you will likely get very little leads until you do. Keep adding quality inbound and relevant links from various places.

four months is still pretty young, I didn't land first page results until about a year. Its all about quality links and good content. Continue adding value to your site. I had about 1-5 new pages a week. Hire a good copywrite and have them go crazy.

Big key words like Colorado Real Estate, Denver Real Estate are just ego key words. The big money makers are the smaller more fine tuned ones. Go after subdivisions, smaller neighborhoods, townhomes condos etc.

Keep working on your link building and content building; 4 months is still fairly new.

What other techniques have you used to move up the ranks?
