Thread: Pagerank Update

Did the directory at wanna go up. i bought a few things there a few months ago.

I have seen a lot of fluctuation in toolbar PR over the past few weeks, but it looks like this one will stick.

I still think Toolbar PR is just a gimmick, anyway. But the little green bar sure is pretty

Yes, the interior pages of the directory didn't have any Pagerank and now most of the interior pages where the links are, are a PR 3. The directory homepage is still a pr 5 but now the inside is seeing some pagerank.

I own an SEO firm. We do a limited amount of link exchanges for our sites (about 10-20 per month at most for each site). We concentrate on methods other than reciprocal exchanges to get the links.

Higher quantities of "good" reciprocal links still help out with MSN and Yahoo. For Google, the benefits of reciprocal links continue to decline. Trusted links (even some recip links with high TrustRank value) are one of the keys to top Google rankings.

I wonder if pr will continue to bounce around for as long as it did last update.

My home page lost a whole point of PR and all my interior pages are showing zero!!! I am in contact with Google and from what I understand there is an update going on... It's so frustrating when this happens, as I've been working very hard for three long years to get the PR I had... now all my pages look decrepid. Whahhhhhhhhhhhh

How has the recent update impacted your SERPs and your traffic? Getting a higher PR will not necessarily bring in more visitors.

Fundamentally, I have not seen much change in the algo that radically impacted my SERPs.
