Backlink update
Anyone else seeing changes in their backlinks in G right now. Mine are getting shuffled. I think we may be getting an update or maybe Allegra is still underway?

My BL's showing in the toolbar went up. So, looks like they are updating the toolbar. Of course BL's are contantly updated, it's just our toolbar that isn't.

Hey Matt -
Good to see you made it over here too. I haven't seen you in the other forum for a long time.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the welcome. I love forums, hate HomeGain and the like. So, I'll be here as long as HG is not associated with this forum. They aren't already, are they?Matt Pellerin, A Phoenix Realtor

Oh, now I remember. Those guys are in with Homegain. I remember the post. As far as I know, no Homegain isn't involved. I really don't see a few of us that are moderators being involved if HG gets involved.

Well, I don't know about the rest of the guys here but I dislike Homegain and others like them that take top SE positions to collect potential home buyer and seller leads and then sell them back to the real estate agents that are trying so hard to get those top spots themselves so potential clients will surf their sites and hopefully contact them directly when they're ready to buy and/or sell.

BEGIN RANT
My BIGGEST problem is that they add NO value to the transaction, TAKE money from realtors pockets, and decieve the public into thinking that the agents are pre-qualified "top agents", when the only real qualifications in most cases is that you are licensed, have a credit card and are willing to give up 25-35% of your earned income.
They prey on new agents, yet sell them to the public like they're old pro's. A smart agent would take 25% of their own checks and spend that money on their own website(s). I did and I alone can not keep up with the leads that come in now, so my team is growing.
Plus the whole deep pockets thing, they have enough money to buy as many websites, links and PPC's as they want. And I think that sucks! Major corporations competing against individual agents.
This is why I get so mad when I see anyone helping to strengthen their position!
