    Default Google Sitemaps constant re-verification

I personally check sitemaps every few days and the last time I checked all was well. No changes to the site etc. This morning I log in and it states that the site has NOT been verified. I check my code for the meta tag provided and it is still there.

Why then would google sitemaps state it was not verified and that NO pages of my site are in the index?

I've seen that happen quite a few times when using the Meta verification.
If you use the file verification where you create a html file and name it what they say, then upload it to your server, then I don't think you will ever have a problem.

Yea, has happend to me too - I just waited a day and it was back to normal. Perhaps your site was offline or timed out when the googlebot crawled last? Personally, I also like the file upload method of verification myself.
