Default Starting a site in 3 months, what should I do now?

I am starting a large content site and it will go live in about 3 months or so. I placed a link on one of my current pages to get it indexed by google as soon as possible. It is basically a text site right now that explains what the site will be. Should I put up the categories and major subcategories I have so google has those as well?

Is there any other stuff I should do so that the site can be indexed as soon as possible when the launch is ready? Is there anything I should be careful about (the link is on a separate class C)?

    Thanks for any advice.

In your post You have Mentioned that you are launching a new site so that after launching a site you have to do some major activities for indexing in SE.
first of all make sitemap.html, sitemap.xml so that your site will become User friendly and SE friendly.
Than after you have to make your account in Google Places and Google Alaytics, and Webmaster tools and List your Website, so that your site will be indexed by Google easily.
And list your Site in to Dmoz.org, after that your site will be Indexed by SE very easily.

You should also build some high Pagerank and high authority backlinks. It will help your site to be indexed quickly

You should begin by planning your SEO Plan. Analyze your competitors, what keywords are you going to target, checking the trends, keeping updated with new google updates, etc.

You should definitely start formulating an SEO plan now so that when your site goes live you aren't overwhelmed. Come up with a list of blogs to comment on, and start building relationships with popular ones. Get familiar with Google Analytics and Adwords. Continue to post here. And so on.

I launched a new site last week, and it was indexed within a couple of days. Just go to Google Webmaster Tools and ask it to fetch your site. If it finds it ok you will have the option to submit it to the index. It worked very well for me.
