Default Sandbox effect now happening to existing sites?

Is Google now using the sandbox effect on existing sites?
I have experimented by creating new pages on an existing site, within 48 hours they are indexed and high in the serps and within another 24 hours they are gone again and no cache displayed.
It looks very similar to the sandbox effect on new sites, anyone else noticing this?

New pages has that effect on google's SERP. What you can do is continue your link building for this page, build up it's reputation and authority and monitor it for a few weeks. After some good link building techniques I'm pretty sure that you will gain better and more like fixed ranking for your page (if it is truly a worthy page - its not all about link building)
