Optimizing a site for the search engines
Hello
Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on the best optimization methods to achieve better rankings in the search engines. Are the old standards still the same with link popularity and anchor text playing the largest role? Do you feel relevancy is now a factor?

with all of the major updates in the past few years, a lot of techniques has changed and a lot of them were removed. sadly, a lot of newbies are still offering such techniques to people who does not know SEO at all. anyhow, Google now offers good Google Webmaster Guidelines and Google SEO starter guide (which you can Google for). two good reads for you in terms of new stuff about SEO.
