If a page has a high bounce rate it isn't necessarily a signal that something is wrong with that page. For example, say someone wanted to know about donkeys and did a search using that word. The first result is Wikipedia. They could click on that page, find out all they wanted to know about donkeys and leave the site. It would be a bounce but the page has done its job, i.e. it has provided the information that was being sought.

I think that what the bounce rate is has already been established in earlier posts. What is your view of its relevance to SEO?

I'm in agreement with c-style, bounce rate needs to be viewed in context. You can't just look at the site average figure in analytics and say it is good or bad, it needs investigation.
A low bounce rate must be good in any situation, but a high one does not mean there is a problem, in fact it can indicate the opposite, it depends on what the page is designed to do.

It's futile to look at the site-wide bounce rate and make any logical conclusions. You need to use Spring Metrics or some other software to look at landing pages individually: why they aren't converting, is the page misleading.....

The bounce rate is usually high. But ideally you would want to get it below 50%.

    Default Bounce rate is usefull

The bounce rate is a useful number. The lower is better, but as some have pointed out do not get too hung up on it.
Lower bounce rate means the visitors are sticking around. This is what you want of course.
We decreased a bounce rate once on a site from 88% to 32% and saw an increase in conversions.
Yet again the bounce rate is only one variable you want to look at for the ultimate goal of High Conversions !

There is no such thing. The overall bounce rate is the average of all your pages, so it doesn't mean a lot.
All you can realistically say is that the lower the bounce rate the better, but if it is high it doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem. You can look at the individual rates for pages and that would be more useful, but you have to decide what your page is designed to do and whether it should lead to a visit to other pages, or whether it provides what the user is looking for and they don't need to go anywhere else.
Sorry to be vague but some questions don't have definite answers, and there are so many variables involved in bounce rate that this is one of them.

Under what bounce rate? There is no set rate, it depends on what he page is designed to do as to whether visitors will need to go to another page.

Could you please expand on this, i.e. explain what you actually mean? How does bounce rate relate to an online marketing campaign? Are you perhaps saying that if you do the campaign wrong then people who are not interested in what you have to offer will bounce away?

Bounce rate may be defined as the percentage of the users who leave your website after seeing only one page.

Yes thats right. Example is your bouce rate is 60% thats 60 visitors from 100 leave your site viewed only one page. And only 40 visitors view 2 or more pages in your site.
