It depends sometimes 2-3 minutes & sometimes 2-3 hours.

Google knows a good posting from a crappy one: in my case, my posts get indexed within few minutes.

Are you talking about posting on this site or your web page postings.

My blog entries are indexed any where between 1 to 24 hours.

Google is now getting smarter... and i believe it depends on many factors but if you are particularly talking about blog post then moment you ping your post Google can crawl it... so i think it should not take much time but smartly saying 5 mins of 3 mins will not be a good answer according to me....

My posts and new pages gets indexed in more or less a day. Depends on what I do to make them see it. Anyways, it doesn't really matter how long it takes them to index your pages because it is the content that matters. Even if your pages gets indexed in seconds, as long as you have crappy content, there wouldn't be any effect at all (at some point the effect could be bad for your site)
