You should focus more on your SERP's rankings rather than on your Page Rank..There are sites that has a low PR but on top of the Google..

If you want to increase your you will need to do several things. First pick your keywords that you are trying to hit. Then on the front page of your website you need write something using those keywords between 3% and 10% of the time. You can use a keyword analysis checker to see how you are doing. Once this is done you should be able to see a jump in the rankings. After that you need to start building backlinks from other websites.

Google PageRank is a ranking system, each document in their empirical ranking in the Web-based series. PageRank is the assessment that a random surfer would cross a page, the PageRank ranking system was new to the Internet when she introduced it, but PageRank uses an idea from the web of long ago.

I totally agree with sarahwhite. It is better to focus on the position of your site in the Search Results.

I agree with some guys here. now, you should pay attention to SERPS than Google PR. Try to make your key word rank on top.

When you blog, do it on another system, like wordpress or blogger. Link from your blog to the underlying pages of your web site. This will help google understand what is relevant on your site beyond your index page. These pages will start to move up in search engine rankings and placement. It is great when you can get multiple pages of your website on the first page in a single search.
