Malware is malicious code or software which includes worms, virus and Trojan horses. Destructive malicious code can be spread by various communicating tools like worms are spread by email and instant messages and Trojan horse can be spread via website or virus effected downloadable files. The malware ban we can also call them malware warning. The ban does not affect the search engine position even though site receives it normal search position. But the result cannot be clicked through site as per usual and there is no live link. A warning placed on your site “This link may harm your Computer” clicking on the page take you to the warning page not to the site copy and paste the text of URL to know which site is risky. It allows the site owner to see the search result and take the action.

    hi there

the easiest way to get rid of such malware is to overwrite the current site with a clean backup. Google will still read it as malware even if you do that. What you need to do is get a webmaster tools account with google and add this site to it. There if the site is flagged, clean teh site and then there is a facility in google to tell them that you have cleaned the site so they can reconsider re-listing your site. i hope that helps

I am not sure if it affects SERP but I think it does affect especially if the content on your site is modified by some malicious codes .

To clean your site, you can read these links:

Loading, any update on your malware situation? It has been close to a month since your original post so I assume you have solved it. Did it affect SERPs to your site?

You need to contact Google about this because they may filter you from the search results. Install an anti-virus on the server to protect your files.
